Pakistan announces a date for Chinese debt repayment


Pakistan has announced the date of the return of China's loans.





Federal Minister Hamad Azhar says, "We have the power to repay the loans received under the CPEC plan from China. All loans will be refunded by 2022." The CPEC project has been explained by the Pakistani government on US objections to increasing the debt burden on Pakistan.





According to details, the Pakistan government has issued a clarification on the US objections to increasing the debt burden on Pakistan due to the CPEC project.





Federal Minister Hamad Azhar says the loans under the CPEC are not so high that Pakistan cannot repay them. Pakistan has the power to repay Chinese debts. Hamad Azhar has said that Pakistan will withdraw loans from China till 2022.





While China says that if Pakistan is not in a position to repay the loans, it will never be forced to repay the debt.





On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that China-Pakistan Economic Guidance (CPEC) is a flagship project of Chinese President Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which will not only help to boost Pakistan's economic growth but also bring regional prosperity.





He expressed these views while talking to The Chinese Ambassador, former UNDER Secretary-General of the United Nations and The Current President of the China-Pakistan Federation Association, Shaso Kong, who led the delegation of China's first-time business companies.





Chinese Ambassador Shasu Kong is leading the Chinese-based companies that are visiting Pakistan in search of business potential and investment opportunities. Prime Minister Imran Khan highlighted the importance of closeness and depth of the Pak-China relationship and said the CPEC is a plan to change fortune. He invited Chinese companies and the business community to invest in the diverse sectors of Pakistan.





Chinese Ambassador Shasu Kong said at the event that Pakistan and China are partners in all climate strategic cooperation. Their partnership is aimed at promoting peace, development, and prosperity in the region. The special relations between the two countries reflect the feeling of warmth.





The Chinese people have expressed it to Pakistan at every opportunity. Chinese Ambassador Shasu Kong stressed that Chinese investors are confident about Pakistan's economic potential and expect economic relations between the two countries to reach their highest level.





The delegation includes companies associated with real estate, construction, engineering, textile, information technology, and the industrial sector. The delegation also visited Peshawar on Monday, while the visit to Lahore, Karachi, and Gawadar is also included in their schedule.





The delegation will also meet with bankers, entrepreneurs, financial sector experts, trade representatives, and senior officials to gain understanding and details about economic opportunities in Pakistan.
